Molecular biology is the study of biological systems at molecular level that deals with nucleic acids and proteins and their interaction within the cell to regulate cellular growth, division and development. This 2nd year BS-Biological Sciences course covers following topics; chromosome organization, DNA replication, transcription and translation, DNA damage, repair and recombination, molecular basis of gene regulation and how gene expression is tied to intracellular and extracellular factors by signal transduction pathways, cell cycle and cell death control, molecular biology of cancer.
